We are the Suffolk Coastal branch of the Green Party of England and Wales.
Why support the Green Party in Suffolk Coastal?
Our ambition is no less than to work towards building by 2030 a truly green economy underpinning an equitable and just society.
Our values have never been more needed - not least here in Suffolk where we face the threat of Sizewell C to the tranquillity and ecology of East Suffolk.
We believe that building our representation locally is key to improving the standing of the Party in national politics as well as getting things done locally.
We are making great electoral progress across Suffolk. There are five Green Councillors on East Suffolk District Council and nine on the County Council. They all work together with Liberal Democrats and progressive independents in the 'GLI' groups as a constructive alternative opposition to the Conservatives. Both Councils have declared Climate Emergencies and this wouldn't have happened without us Greens. Climate and nature are now on the agenda and can't be ignored.

The Green Party Political Programme sets out what Greens are in politics to do: to end the system that keeps hurting the environment and all of us who rely on it – and to build a better alternative.
This Programme isn’t like other parties’ manifestos, it has not been squeezed through focus groups and stripped down according to the latest polling. Instead it has been built from policies proposed and voted on by our members, looking to secure the long term future of the places and people they love.
It’s a vision of a better world, and together we can deliver it.
